I was raised Roman Catholic, but I came to saving faith while serving as a Navy Diver in my early twenties. My wife, Traci, and I joined a small Southern Baptist church in Virginia Beach; soon after I felt called into ministry. After earning a B.A. in apologetics from Boyce College, my family and I relocated to Pennsylvania where I attended Westminster Theological Seminary, earning an M.A.R. in theological studies. Upon graduation, I took a call to be the senior pastor of a Baptist church near my hometown in Kentucky. I pastored there for over three years but grew more Reformed in my convictions. In 2020 my family and I started attending Ascension Reformed Church (URC) in Cincinnati, OH., and, after being examined by Classis, I was installed as a minister of Word and Sacrament on October 31, 2021. While serving at Ascension Reformed, I earned a PhD in foundations of Christian education with a minor in apologetics from SWBTS, writing on Cornelius Van Til’s theology of education. In February of 2024, we were sent out by Ascension Reformed to plant Christ Reformed Church in Northern KY. Traci and I homeschool our three children, Haddon, Noël, and Isaac. When I have down time I love to read, swim, cook, disc golf, and watch movies with my family. My three favorite authors include Cornelius Van Til, John Bunyan, and Herman Bavinck.
